Wisakichak was walking in the woods; he was gathering moss and putting it on his shirt. He wrapped it up in his shirt and he carried it on his shoulders as he walked along the shore. The duck called out to him, "What are you carrying on your shoulders big brother?" " These are songs that I am carrying" said Wisakichak. "Let's dance then," said the ducks. "Lets play close your eyes and dance, you close your eyes and dance", said Wisakichak who was trying to fool the ducks

So he sat down outside a small tepee and he sang, so the ducks closed their eyes and started dancing. Wisakichak grabbed a duck and twisted its neck. As he was getting ready to grab another one, a duck seen him and yelled. "Our big brother is killing us!" yelled the duck. All the ducks took off. "Well, at least I was able to kill two ducks" he said. "I'm going to gather wood, make a fire and have a wonderful roast." he laughed to himself.

He took his ducks down to the lake and buried them in the sand. The only thing that showed was their feet. Then he went to get his wood, as he was leaving; a fox came running along. "I wonder what Wisakichak is up to?" thought the fox.

So the fox dug up the ducks and he ate them. As he finishing his meal, he took the feet of the ducks and stuck them in the sand. Then he went on his way into the woods.

When Wisakichak got back, he made a big fire on the sand, right by where the feet were buried. "I think I will take a nap that way the ducks will be well cooked". He slept for quite awhile, and he was famished when he woke up. Then he pulled the feet up one by one. "Who ate my ducks?" yelled Wisakichak.

Well because of what he did to fool the ducks, the same thing happened to him.
